13.04.2010 3rd Timber West Award at the 8th International Masonry Conference Dinner
The Timber West Memorial Award was established by the Society in 2002 to reflect the memory and work of Timber West for the masonry industry. The Award is given for exceptional work and services to the masonry industry, and has been presented at each of the Society’s two previous International Masonry Conferences, (6IMC and 7IMC).
Previous recipients have been Professor John Burland, whose work included a major contribution to stabilising the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Professor Luigia Binda, for her contribution to masonry research and education.
Following this now established tradition the Society will name the recipient of the third Timber West Memorial Award at the 8IMC Conference Dinner in Dresden, when the Award will be presented.
We are all looking forward to it.
